Quote of the Day (and Why Eric Cantor is Making His Move)

On today's edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe, host Joe Scarborough put on a pretty conspicuous show with this line being the "pull quote:"

I hear it on the Hill, I’m sure you hear it on the Hill all the time, it’s not reported but so many Republicans tell me this [House Minority Leader John Boehner] is a guy that is not the hardest worker in the world.

Meanwhile, over at Drudgico — excuse me, Politico,…

John Bresnahan and Jake Shermnan report that House Minoroty Whip "Eric Cantor's ambition raises concerns, debate ," and throw in a few details about Cantor locking horns with Boehner.

This ties into buzz we've been hearing from our congressional tattle-tales about Cantor looking ready to make a move to replace Boehner. Unless Cantor has managed to secretly garner better relations with the many, many lobbyists and power players Boehner has schmoozed for more than a decade, I don't see the as likely to succeed in the least, and could leave Cantor a big loser in the latest now-public internecine GOP spat.
